| Lawmakers Have Hang-ups With 900 Numbers |

Republican State Senators Tony Stamas and Laura Toy are introducing and supporting a bill that would prohibit state agencies from charging Michigan residents for public information via fee-based telephone numbers. The policy — initiated during former Gov. John Engler’s first term — has not been challenged until now, and is long past due for review. |
